Although the final outcome of the presidential race is still up in the air, it’s important to see the historic voter turnout across Washington State and our country. This truly is one of the most historic elections in our lifetime and our country has never been more clearly divided.

The next few days are going to take fortitude, perseverance, and integrity as our local and state officials do the hard work of accurately counting and reporting the final election outcomes. Now is a time to ensure that our democratic process is fully able to operate in the way it was intended.

There is so very much at stake for the retail industry and much to be accomplished in the next four years. The incoming president will have to effectively deal with the ongoing pandemic, the public health care system, racial tensions and revitalizing the economy.

Our country has no doubt been and continues to be divided yet our true strength is revealed when we stand together united. Let us commit to working together to recover our nation’s economy; building a better future. Each and every one of us will need to do our part.
