Media members called on President & CEO Renée Sunde and Senior VP of Policy & Government Affairs Mark Johnson for two stories related to the national and statewide elections last week.

Sunde took part in KOMO television’s coverage of retailers needing to protect their stores from the potential for unrest and damage following the election results. Ben Bridge Jewelers’ CEO Lisa Bridge, a WR member, also commented during the report.

The election results also portend impacts on issues to be debated during the 2021 session of the state Legislature, scheduled to begin on January 11.

Johnson commented within an online story in The Lens about possible bills next session addressing online data privacy, a capital gains tax and an expected proposal by Governor Inslee to approve a lower carbon fuel standard.
