The Day of Love, one that best not be forgotten, arrives on Friday, February 14.

U.S. lovers and those hoping to make up alike set a record $20.7 billion in purchases on Valentine’s Day last year, according to the National Retail Federation. It has been accumulating a vast database on how lovers spend on each other since 2004. Check it out to see how you compare.

Over the years, while a faltering percentage of shoppers have participated on Valentine’s Day, overall spending has steadily increased to last year’s record. NRF is due to make its 2020 projections any day now.
