On Monday, August 9, the Seattle City Council decided to delay action on Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda’s legislation to repeal the Seattle hazard pay mandate for grocery workers.

Councilmember Mosqueda first introduced the repeal legislation in early July. Unfortunately, the rising number of Covid cases, driven by the Delta variant, led the Council to put off action on this legislation until September 13.

We will continue to monitor developments with this legislation.
