Federal relief funds total more than $93 billion to date

According to a recently updated table provided by the Washington Research Council, federal relief funds to governments, businesses, and individuals in Washington total more than $93 billion.

The Washington Research Council report indicates that $67.3 billion has gone or will go to businesses and individuals and $26.3 billion is flowing through the state and local governments.

This funding will be spent over several years. But for context, state and local governments in Washington spent $82.2 billion in 2019 (on direct general expenditures).
