Several tax bills were introduced this session, including the re-introduction of the “Digital Equity Revenue” bill by Rep. Gregerson (D, 33rd LD).
Digital Equity Revenue: HB 2327
Would implement a $2 device tax on all devices over $250 that connect to the internet. This includes but is not limited to phones, computers, and smart appliances.
WR opposes the bill because of the significant burden to set up and implement. Failure to adhere to the legislation could result in a gross misdemeanor and potential fines for the business.
