Lowes has created a digital twin replica of one of its stores using the NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise platform as it expands its investment in new technologies. This effort will not only help their brand reach customers in new ways, but it will also help educate Lowe’s associates using a digital experience. Employees will be able to interact and visualize store data to optimize operations and logistics and better serve customers. This digital replica can also help associates visualize and compare what a store shelf should look like when properly stocked.
“We’re thrilled to pioneer retail digital twins and elevate experiences for both our associates and customers,” Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s executive vice president and chief digital and information officer, said in a statement. “Through emerging technology, we are always imagining and testing ways to improve store operations and remove friction for our customers.”
Like Walmart and other big retailers, Lowes is pioneering forward into the Metaverse with Roblox and other digital space platforms to enhance customers’ retail experiences.
