The Department of Revenue has issued a special notice regarding a new law about expiration dates on gift certificates and gift cards.

With some exceptions, effective July 1 of this year, such cards may not contain dormancy, inactivity or service fees. This change is as a result of House Bill 1727 approved this year by the state Legislature.
