Krystal and Blake Garfield who operate Bedrooms & More in Seattle have been selected to attend the National Retail Federation’s Retail Advocacy Boot Camp on July 10 in Washington, D.C.

WR Senior VP of Policy & Government Affairs Mark Johnson nominated the business, an association member, for the honor.

The Garfields have qualified for a free trip to the boot camp where they will receive specialized training on sharing their small business experiences to help influence government policy decisions. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other small business owners.

The Garfields plan to share their experiences in navigating the family business through the ups and downs of the economy. Blake said he plans to share his company’s experience with new trade tariffs on Chinese exports among other issues.

Krystal has been in charge of the day-to-day financials of the business for more than 10 years. Blake has worked in the business since 1996. These days, he oversees the company’s wholesale division, product development and advertising.

WR congratulates the Garfields and wishes them well on their upcoming boot camp experience.
