Washington Retail has endorsed Representative Alex Ybarra for election to represent the Legislature’s 13th District. Commissioners from a four-county area appointed Ybarra to succeed former Representative Matt Manweller last January.
Since taking office, Ybarra has been a consistent supporter of Washington Retail’s legislative goals. On his campaign website, Ybarra says he is a conservative interested in limited government, careful state spending and tax relief.
Ybarra is an energy-reliability compliance auditor for the Grant County Public Utility District. He is a member of the Quincy School Board, the Washington State Commission for Hispanic Affairs and is a director with the Washington State School Directors Association.
