Amazon moved its planned September 7 office reopening back to early January 2022 as concerns grow about the infectiousness of the Covid-19 Delta variant. Microsoft and other tech giants have followed suit. This delay in reopening has raised new concerns about the pace of Seattle’s downtown recovery.

In addition, Microsoft, Google, and Facebook announced that they would require all workers to get a Covid vaccination before they return to their office.
