WA Secretary of State Kim Wyman announced her retirement this week in order to take a post serving as the Senior Election Security Lead for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the Biden administration. She will be stepping down from office on November 19, at which time Governor Inslee will be appointing a replacement.
Wyman has served as Secretary of State since 2012, having won re-elections in both 2016 and 2020, and has been a long-time supporter of the retail industry in Washington state. Her leadership and expertise will be dearly missed, but WR wishes her all the best success in her new role.
