Trump extends distancing advice as Inslee warns of longer stay-at-home order

As coronavirus infections spread across the U.S., President Trump and governors across the country have urged or required mitigation steps to halt the spread.

The President has extended his urging for social distancing of at least 6 feet until the end of April. His recommendation includes staying at home where possible and no unnecessary travel.

Meanwhile, Washington Governor Jay Inslee so far has issued a “Stay Home – Stay Healthy” order that began March 25 and extends, so far, to midnight on April 8. Though he has warned he may have to extend the order, he had not done so as of this writing.

Inslee has scheduled a Twitter Q&A session on Thursday regarding COVID-19 mitigation procedures.

Inslee also asked the public to report any apparent violations of his stay-at-home by business deemed to be non-essential. The form to make reports is here.
