With the election campaign season over and the holiday shopping rush underway, a few may have missed the historic absolute end to dismantling the downtown viaduct.
The last pieces came down late last month as the state Department of Transportation handed out samples of crushed concrete for the sake of nostalgia.
DOT also released a fun time-lapse video showing the past eight months of demolition that has reopened Seattle’s developing waterfront without the obstruction of the viaduct. Watch it here.
