The Low Income Housing Institute (or LIHI) has teamed up with the City of Seattle and the State of Washington to buy three new apartment buildings. The buildings will house the homeless and people at risk of homelessness. Each building will have a caseworker living on the premises.

The three buildings, located near downtown, have a combined 165 studio apartments. The City and State split the $50 million purchase price equally.
