Returns expected to hit $761 billion

U.S. retail sales soared to $4.583 trillion in 2021. But a report released Tuesday by the National Retail Federation and Appriss Retail found that retailers expect more than $761 billion worth of the merchandise they sold last year to come back to their stores as returns.
