During a KIRO radio interview last week, state Representative Roger Goodman (D-Kirkland) expressed hope that the Legislature would approve a WR-backed bill to combat organized retail theft next year.

A bill that was discussed earlier this year would allow law enforcement to intercede with shoppers known to have concealed merchandise with intent to steal it. Goodman co-sponsored HB 1159 in the 2019 Legislative Session. The Legislature failed to approve Goodman’s bill and its companion, SB 5248.

Goodman appeared for an interview with radio host Dave Ross and Federal Way Civil Court Judge David Larson. Hear the interview here.
