Mark Johnson
Senior Vice President of Policy & Government Affairs
Mark was born to be a Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs.
Mark’s love for everything political started in 1983 after high school. After graduating he went on to Central Washington University and graduated in 1987 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics with an emphasis on Communications. Mark worked on the Bob Dole for President campaign and attended the 2004-2005 Presidential Inauguration.
If you know Mark, you know his enthusiasm for all things government. His passion is lobbying on behalf of businesses in Washington with the goal to protect and grow the retail industry.
WR under the direction of Mark represents all retailers politically knowing that a strong association could achieve goals no single business could accomplish individually.
Mark feels that it is essential to have an advocate fight for you against excessive taxes, onerous laws and regulations that add cost and reduce business efficiencies.
Mark is responsible for the strategic development of the Policy & Government Division.
He is a known community leader volunteering for Kiwanis International, and serving as an Eagle Scout Board of Review member to name just a few. You may even see Mark in the production of the Nutcracker every now and then. He is our in-house thespian.
Give Mark a call as he would be happy to talk about the priorities for the 2023 session.
