The Snohomish County council has named a successor to retired state Senator John McCoy while filling a House vacancy created by the naming of McCoy’s replacement.
The council named former state House member June Robinson to replace McCoy and decided upon Emily Wicks to take Robinson’s seat in the state House. The moves pertain to the Legislature’s 38th District located in Snohomish County.
Robinson was the top choice of Democrat precinct committee officers in the district to replace McCoy.
Wicks has worked as a deputy finance director of Jay Inslee’s campaign for Governor and has served as a legislative aide to former State Representative and Washington Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib.
