Labor & Industries is considering whether to lengthen the time a citation and notices need to be posted on employee safety bulletin boards from three working days to seven.

The change is under consideration by the Division of Occupational safety and Health (DOSH). The change would include any correspondence related to an employee complaint. There are employees who work non-standard shifts that may not have access to the information due to the short amount of time a citation currently is posted, DOSH noted. It has suggested that other ways to spread the word would be via safety representatives or a safety committee.
