The City of Issaquah has announced it will resume its ban on plastic shopping bags and certain food packaging on August 1.

On April 1, the city suspended enforcement when some stores reported an inability to obtain paper bags at the outset of the COVID-19 virus outbreak earlier this year.

Megan Curtis-Murphy of the city’s Office of Sustainability said Issaquah will not require stores to charge a 5-cent paper bag fee. Those with questions can contact [email protected] for more information.
