The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded four members of Washington’s Congressional delegation with Spirit of Enterprise awards.

Those receiving the honor include Republican Representatives Jaimie Herrera Beutler (District 3).; Dan Newhouse (District 4); Cathy McMorris Rodgers (District 5); and Democrat Representative Derek Kilmer (District 6).

The award with more than a 40-year history traditionally has gone to legislators whose voting records were at least 70% in support of businesses. For the first time this year, the chamber chose to expand factors in its scoring to include proven bipartisanship and leadership on issues.
