Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Employment Security has issued emergency rules pertaining to unemployment benefit applicants and recipients.
On March 18, 2020, the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act was signed into law. The Act provides states with latitude to adjust job search requirements in response to COVID-19. Accordingly, the ESD has issued emergency rules that make job search requirements optional during the novel coronavirus state of emergency.
