Employment Security updates rules proposals for Paid Family and Medical Leave

Employment Security has filed proposed phase six rules for the state’s Paid Family and Medical Leave program. They cover appeals and changes related to the 2019 Legislative Session.

This opens the formal comment period on this phase of rules. The preliminary draft of ESD’s required significance analysis is also available for public comment.

The rulemaking hearings for phase six will be on November 7 and Nov. 12.

Those interested can participate in rulemaking by:

  • Attending the public hearings (either in-person or remotely) to provide oral comments.
  • Submitting written comments on our public comment portal. Comments will be accepted online until 5 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2019.
