The Government Affairs team at WR recently held its 2026 Post-Session Strategic Planning Retreat in Olympia, moderated by Jennie Foglia-Jones.
Together, the team reviewed the 2026 legislative session, reflecting on successes, challenges, and lessons learned while advocating for Washington’s retail industry. The retreat also created space for discussion about team communication, coalition partnerships, and how to best use time and resources to support WR members, while outlining interim priorities such as strengthening legislative relationships, improving internal communication, and preparing for issues likely to return in the next legislative session.
