WR is conducting a national search for its next President and Chief Executive Officer following the planned retirement of longtime leader Renée Sunde.
Since December 2025, Interim CEO Alesha Shemwell has provided continuity and stability while the WR Board of Directors carries out a comprehensive search process. She will continue serving in the interim role until a new CEO is selected.
WR is seeking a strategic leader to guide advocacy efforts, strengthen member engagement, and position the association for continued success in a changing retail environment.
