A Seattle sports apparel retailer reported a significant overnight theft after a break-in early on the morning of February 1, near Lumen Field. Pro Image Sports, located in the Sodo area, lost an estimated $50,000 in Seattle Seahawks jerseys and jackets, according to store representatives.
Security footage shows three masked individuals entering the store around 4 a.m. and leaving within approximately two minutes. The individuals reportedly targeted a wall display of Seahawks jerseys, taking items representing players from multiple eras of the team. The theft also caused damage to part of the store’s interior and entry gate.
Store leadership said the business has already begun restocking merchandise, noting that demand for Seahawks gear has been unusually high following the team’s successful postseason run. Despite the loss, management emphasized a desire to focus on community pride in Seattle sports rather than the incident itself.
Seattle Police are investigating the theft and have asked anyone with information to contact the department’s non-emergency line. Store staff also noted awareness of unconfirmed reports on social media about Seahawks jerseys being sold in nearby communities, though no connection has been verified.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns among retailers about organized retail theft and property crime, particularly during periods of high demand.
