Washington Retail wishes to extend condolences to the families of four people who lost their lives in Saturday’s collapse of a construction crane in the South Lake Union area.

Two passengers in cars on Mercer street died as part of the crane tower struck their vehicles while two ironworkers who were on the crane at Google’s new campus also died.

The state Labor & Industries Department is investigating to find a cause for the accident.
