In a coalition letter to Congressional leadership, Washington Retail has signed on seeking a second round of federal aid to help small businesses survive the coronavirus pandemic.

Many small businesses are in need of additional help to remain open, the letter states. It also asks Congress to simplify burdensome loan forgiveness procedures from an earlier aid package so that business owners can spend more time on stabilizing their stores. It seeks loan forgiveness for smaller businesses and tax deductibility for larger businesses.
