Washington Retail encourages all who agree to sign a Washington Policy Center petition opposing a proposed income tax in the 2021 Legislative Session.

Washington voters have repeatedly said “no” to income tax proposals. This year, legislators are mulling over whether to approve a capital gains tax that is so sweeping it would impact numerous small businesses that have struggled to remain open during the coronavirus pandemic. Washington state’s constitution prohibits income tax and forty-nine other states treat capital gains taxes as income taxes.
