The Council of State Retail Associations (CSRA) Annual Meeting is just around the corner, taking place September 22–24, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The annual gathering brings together retail association leaders and corporate government affairs professionals from across the country for collaboration, learning, networking, and discussion of issues affecting the retail industry.
Washington Retail’s President & CEO, Jan Himebaugh, and Vice President of Government Affairs, Crystal Leatherman, will attend this year’s meeting and connect with retail association colleagues and partners from across the country.
The 2026 meeting will feature programming focused on emerging issues and practical strategies for retail advocacy, including artificial intelligence and retail innovation, emerging litigation trends, strategic public relations for high-stakes lobbying, effective messaging, and current policy challenges. The agenda will also include discussion of the upcoming midterm elections and interactive roundtables.
The meeting will be held at the historic Hotel Washington, located across from the White House. The schedule includes a private Amazon facility tour and executive briefing for state retail associations, a Women Retail Leaders Networking Breakfast, a reception at the National Retail Federation, and a closing reception at Old Ebbitt Grill.
This year’s meeting also coincides with the nation’s 250th anniversary. Attendees will have an opportunity to experience events and activities taking place throughout Washington, D.C., as the country commemorates the milestone.
