As Congress continues to debate approving more financial aid for businesses and individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Retail Federation invites the public to sign and send its action link that urges swift action.

Washington Retail has joined other business groups in urging Congress to act before its holiday recess.

Among other needs, Washington Retail urges:

• Authorizing remaining Paycheck Protection Program funds to be available for small businesses
• Speeding up loan forgiveness flexibility to use PPP funds for fixed costs by small businesses, and deductibility of PPP business expenses
• Financial stimulus through direct aid to individuals and families, and incentives to encourage a return to work

Liability protections to provide certainty for businesses following safe operating guidelines without fear of unwarranted lawsuits
