One candidate ran as a Republican for Lt. Governor last year and believes Seattle is too soft on crime. Critics decry her lack of legal experience. The other is a former Public Defender who argues that the city can eliminate the need for police and prisons by “developing programs and support systems for our communities to decrease the need for police.”
Voters have a choice between taking a tougher approach on crime or eliminating the police and prisons? Now that’s a contrast!
