In celebration of the 5th annual Careers in Retail Month this September, Washington Retail (WR) is pleased to partner with Westfield Southcenter to engage youth from the Boys and Girls Club of King County (BGCKC)’s YouthForce program. This exciting event will allow teens the opportunity to explore the many diverse career pathways available in retail.
A big thank you to the National Retail Federation Foundation for awarding four BGCKC clubs in King County free access to RISE Up Retail Industry Fundamentals certification, during Careers in Retail Month. This certification equips learners with basic customer service and math skills to conduct sales transactions, and provides information regarding retail’s economic impact and diverse job pathways.
The NRF Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of America formed a partnership to equip their youth with job readiness skills and to build confidence through career activation activities. This video testimonials tell how important these activities are to youth and their mentors.
