According to a survey conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics, families with children in K-12 education are planning to spend $848.90 on average per family on clothing and supply needs for back to school, exceeding last year’s record-breaking sales.

With a total expected spending per household at 37.1B, back to school spending is on target to jump nearly 22% over 2019 sales. Over two-thirds of families plan to start shopping three weeks or more before school starts, with 60% of their spending on shoes and clothing.
